Storyteller, barbecue featured at Ferndale holiday celebration

FERNDALE - People are invited to an early Independence Day celebration Friday, July 3, featuring a barbecue and a well-known local storyteller.
Louisa House, a senior living community, will host a barbecue at noon followed by Brian Flowers speaking at 1 p.m. Flowers, who lives in Everson, has performed around Whatcom County for 10 years.
The cost is $5 for the barbecue. Louisa House is at 2240 Main St.
