Crews close Lake Louise Road for paving work

Crews will close Lake Louise Road to all but local traffic, school buses and emergency vehicles until Thursday, June 11, while they do paving work, according to Whatcom County officials.

Whatcom Transportation Authority is running its Route 512 to Sudden Valley mostly on Lake Whatcom Boulevard instead of Lake Louise Road. The Sudden Valley bus will use Lake Louise Road for the first trip and the last two trips of the day.

The road will be closed between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The work is weather dependent and subject to change, according to the county.
