MAPLE FALLS — Whatcom County officials have scheduled a public meeting Wednesday, June 10, to provide an update on the East Whatcom Regional Resource Center.

The event runs 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the library at Kendall Elementary School, 7547 Kendall Road.

As originally envisioned, the center would provide health, educational and other services in a 12,000-square-foot building on Kendall Road in the Peaceful Valley area.

The county last year received a $1 million Community Development Block Grant from the state Department of Community Trade and Economic Development for the project.

The meeting will include an update from architect David King and county staff.
