Students, scouts, band and prof honored

Boys & Girls Club of Whatcom County recently held its annual meeting gave its Blaine Builder Award to the band Crystal Tricycle for the band’s commitment to community-related charities.

Hannah Bauthues of Everson, was named to the fall-semester Dean’s List at Carroll College, Helena, Mont.

Whitney Kendall of Bellingham was named to the fall Dean’s List at Seattle University.

Two Bellingham students, Clifford Davis and Matthew Read, were named to the fall-semester honor roll at Montana State University, in Bozeman.

Isaac Bahr, Bryant Foster and Edward Myers, all of Bellingham, were awarded the rank of Eagle Scout in a ceremony Dec. 30 at Central Lutheran Church in Bellingham.

Bahr’s Eagle project was to reconstruct an unsafe and inaccessible handicap deck at a dorm at Camp Lutherwood on Lake Samish.

Foster’s project involved the design and construction of a performance stage at Camp Lutherwood.

Myers’ project involved remodeling of the fellowship hall at Camp Lutherwood.

Matthew Butcher of Bellingham was named to the fall-semester Dean’s List at Northern Michigan University, in Marquette.

Thomas Schlotterback, professor emeritus of art at Western Washington University, has had a drawing accepted for the Au Naturel; The Nude in the 21st Century International Juried Exhibition at the Visual Art Center, at Clatsop Community College, Astoria, Ore. His drawing, “Administrative Parade; Blindfolded Leading the Blindfolded,” used charcoal and color on toned paper.
