The following stores, businesses and restaurants are open at least part of Thursday, Nov. 27. Other places also may be open - call ahead to find out.

GROCERY STORES

Albertson's: closes at 4 p.m.

    Thanksgiving: Cloudy, chance of rain, high of 50 degrees.

    Black Friday: Shoppers who plan to line up outside stores should prepare for temperatures around 40 degrees and possible rain.

    Old Town Cafe, 316 W. Holly St., 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, dinner with live music.

    Good Burger, 5962 Guide Meridian in Laurel, will serve free traditional Thanksgiving meals for all who come from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday.

    Five Columns Restaurant, 1301 E. Maple St., serving free Thanksgiving dinner for seniors from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday. Call 676-9900 for reservations.

    United Church of Ferndale, 2034 Washington Ave., dinner at noon Thursday.

    Lighthouse Mission Ministries at Church of the Assumption Gymnasium, 2116 Cornwall Ave., from noon to 2 p.m. Friday.

    Green Frog Cafe Acoustic Tavern, 902 N. State St., day-after Thanksgiving potluck with entertainment by Big Sur at 8 p.m. Friday. People who bring a leftover turkey day dish get in free (otherwise the event is $5).

    Salt on the Street at the Louis Auto Glass parking lot, 1512 N. State St., 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday.

    FRIDAY EARLY STORE OPENINGS

    4 a.m.: Kohl's, JC Penney.

    5 a.m.: Best Buy, Macy's, Joe's Sports and Outdoor, Wal-Mart, Circuit City, Sears, Fred Meyer.

    6 a.m.: Target, Kmart, Bellis Fair, Michaels crafts, Home Depot, Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft, Lowe's Home Improvement.

    8 a.m.: Yeager's Sporting Goods.

Cost Cutter, Food Pavilion: close at 5 p.m.

Everybody's Store: open 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Fred Meyer: closes at 4 p.m.

Haggen: open 24 hours.

Open noon to 4 p.m. with taps open and snacks such as pizza and soft pretzels available. Bottles, growlers, bladders or kegs available for sale.

Harborside Bistro, One Bellwether Way inside Hotel Bellwether, Bellingham.

Open noon to 6 p.m. for traditional Thanksgiving dinner. 392-3200.

Horseshoe Café, 113 E. Holly St., Bellingham.

Open regular hours. Serving all-you-can-eat Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for $12.95.

India Grill Restaurant, 1215 1/2 Cornwall Ave., Bellingham.

Open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch and 4 to 8 p.m. for dinner.

Magic Dragon Chinese Eatery, 1317 W. Bakerview Road, No. 102, Bellingham, in the Fred Meyer center.

Open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; free Magic Bowl Chinese food for the first 50 people who come for lunch.

Oyster Bar Restaurant, 2578 Chuckanut Drive, Bow.

Opens at noon. Free pool, food and drink specials, tournament poker at 7 p.m.

Waterfront Seafood & Bar, 521 W. Holly St., Bellingham.

Open 8 a.m. Thursday to 2 a.m. Friday. Deep-fried turkey dinner with all the fixings, $8.25. Texas hold 'em tournament at 6:30 p.m.
