Nathan Louws, the 22-year-old son of Lynden Mayor Jack Louws, is set to return home this week after spending about five weeks in a Great Falls, Mont., hospital recovering from a serious brain injury.

Louws was on his way to Spokane Oct. 11 when his vehicle rolled over on Interstate 90 near Butte, Mont.

Louws will be working with physical, speech and occupational therapists as he continues to recover at home, according to a Wednesday, Nov. 19, journal posting on www.caringbridge.org.

Doctors have estimated that Louws will need another 18 to 24 months before he is completely healed, according to the journal.
