CSI, other health-related lectures offered for the public

BELLINGHAM - Learn about health-related topics through talks billed as the "Mini-Medical School Lecture Series."

Sponsored by GroupHealth and the Whatcom County Medical Society, the new events are free. They're all in Bellingham and run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays through October.

Upcoming discussions are:

Oct. 14: "Fact and Fiction of CSI, Modern Death Investigation," by Dr. Gary Goldfogel, Whatcom County medical examiner, at St. Luke's Community Health Education Center, 3333 Squalicum Parkway.

Oct. 21: "Addiction 101," by Dr. Anthony Gargano, of PeaceHealth Medical Group, at St. Luke's Community Health Education Center.

Oct. 28: "Digestive Journey, a Grand Tour of the GI Tract," by Dr. Todd Witte, of Northwest Gastroenterology, at the WECU Educational Center, 511 E. Holly St.
