BLAINE - A fundraiser supporting the Chelsey Rae Ebert Scholarship Fund and NW Dreams and NW Furniture Bank will be from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Dakota Creek Center.
Chelsey Ebert was a 15-year-old Ferndale High School student who died of cancer Dec. 26, 2007.
The day's events will include an antique car and motorcycle show-n-shine at 11 a.m., a silent auction at 4 p.m. and a crab feed at 5 p.m., said Cheryll Dumont, the event chairwoman.
Auctioned items will include an autographed Jake Locker jersey and football. A raffle and prizes will follow the crab feed. The Playlists will perform live music.
A scholarship fund for volleyball and basketball for girls from Ferndale High School was established in Ebert's name. NW Dreams and NW Furniture Bank are nonprofits that distribute donated furniture and household goods to victims of domestic abuse, people who have lost belongings due to fire and natural disasters and families from transitional housing.
Advance tickets are $22 for individuals and $32 per couple. Tickets for children age 12 and younger are $10 each.
To donate auction and raffle items, purchase tickets or to get more information contact Dumont at (360) 927-9585.
