LUMMI RESERVATION - The Northwest Indian College will be full of native scholars and tribal elders from around the U.S. this week for the Vine Deloria Jr. Symposium.

The third annual symposium will feature discussions about federal laws and policies affecting American Indians. Hank Adams, president of the Survival of American Indians Association, will give the keynote address.

The symposium starts Thursday, July 24, and ends Saturday, July 26, with panels and discussions going from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Registration is $100 and includes lunches and a salmon dinner.
