A Bellingham man died after he drove off a road in Sudden Valley and struck a tree Saturday morning, July 19. He was pronounced dead at St. Joseph Hospital.
Thomas A. Frank, 62, was heading west on Marigold Drive near the Sudden Valley golf course about 8 a.m. when he hit the tree, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The State Patrol said Frank may have died of a heart attack. St Joseph Hospital did not provide a cause of death when contacted Saturday evening.
Thomas was driving a 1998 Ford pickup truck and was wearing a seat belt. There was no indication that Thomas had used alcohol or drugs before the crash, and his family has been notified, according to the State Patrol.
