BELLINGHAM — The State Board of Education will hold a meeting here today and Thursday to discuss improving student achievement.

The board meets in various places around the state each year. This week’s meeting will be at Whatcom Community College, starting at 9 a.m. both days and continuing until at least 3:30 p.m.

Topics will include high school graduation requirements, performance accountability, math and science standards, and policies that impede student achievement.

The meeting is open to the public. For information, go to www.sbe.wa.gov.
