Three separate mudslides Tuesday night caused Amtrak to suspend train service between Seattle and Vancouver, B.C. on Wednesday.
The Burlington Northern Santa Fe railway tracks used by Amtrak Cascades trains 510, 513 and 517 between Seattle and Vancouver, B.C. were temporary closed.
Amtrak will provide chartered buses between Seattle and Vancouver for passengers on that route because of the potential for more slides.
Freight trains are still running.
Amtrak regrets any inconvenience the suspension causes its passengers. They are encouraged to call 800-USA-RAIL or visit Amtrak.com for schedule information and train status updates.
