A man who recently moved to Ferndale has been missing since abruptly leaving his brother's house in the early morning of Nov. 12, the brother said.

Jim Barlow reported his brother, Billy, missing to Ferndale Police on Nov. 14, and said the department has issued a nationwide notice to other law enforcement agencies about the disappearance.

Billy Barlow, 38, moved from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, earlier this month to stay at his brother's house in Ferndale, Jim Barlow said.

At about 4:30 a.m. Nov. 12, Billy Barlow left the home and told his brother he was taking a walk, but his truck was gone when Jim Barlow woke up.

Jim Barlow said he was concerned his brother, who is diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, may pose danger to himself.

Billy Barlow's truck is described as a 1988 Dodge Dakota with red and white paint and a canopy on its back. Its Washington license plate number is B10828G, and anyone who sees it should call 911.
