Ferndale City Council seats still too close to call

FERNDALE - Only a handful of votes separate the candidates competing for two City Council seats, according to updated election results Wednesday, Nov. 4.

The early results of both races were too close to call Tuesday night. Ken Downey was leading Jon Mutchler with nearly 51 percent to more than 49 percent.

Keith Olson was leading Brent Goodrich with more than 50 percent to more than 49 percent.

With more than 1,400 ballots counted by Wednesday, updated results show Downey with only five more votes than Mutchler, while Olson led Goodrich by only three votes.

The next ballot count is expected to be released at 5 p.m. Thursday.
