BLAINE - Incumbents Charlie Hawkins and Bonnie Onyon won their races for seats on the Blaine City Council in the Tuesday, Nov. 3, election.
Incumbent Onyon had more than 77 percent of the vote, compared to former Blaine City Councilman David White's 23 percent.
Hawkins handily defeated political newcomer John George by the same numbers, 77 percent to 23 percent.
George had run a campaign accusing city officials of various misconduct, none of which could be verified in a Bellingham Herald investigation. He also filed bankruptcy during the campaign.
