Drop off Whatcom County ballots, don't mail them now

If you haven't mailed your ballot for the Tuesday, Nov. 3, general election, it's best to drop it off at an official drop box at this point.

Because Whatcom County mail is sent to Everett for a postmark, there is a chance ballots mailed now will not be postmarked by the Tuesday deadline. Ballots beyond the deadline will not be counted.

A drop-off box is available outside the Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Ave. in Bellingham, until 8 p.m. Election Day.

These other ballot drop-off sites will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday:

• Blaine City Hall, 344 H St.

• Deming Library, 5044 Mount Baker Highway.

• Everson Library, 104 Kirsch Drive.

• Ferndale Library, 2222 Main St.

• Lynden Library, 216 Fourth St.

• Western Washington University, Viking Union Room 714.
